The new(er) awesome mrschmid.com celebrates it's 2nd birthday in a few weeks. You need to design 5 happy birthday images that will be displayed in the main header image on mrschmid.com. Behind the main white text, mrschmid.com you'll see there's an image. Search through the page source and css files for the image size. Create 5 images (one for each colored theme of the site) in the proper size. Post them here by Tuesday, 9/30 at 11:59pm. Keep in mind that the images should celebrate the birthday, yet fit in stylistically with the colored theme for the site.

Alternative Sports Logos

Posted On: Mon, 2008-09-22 12:42 by mrschmid

Professional sports leagues all seem to share similar graphic qualities in their logos. There are typically two or three colors and a negative space shape representing a player or a recognizable object from the game. Your task is to deisgn a professional sports league logo for these five activities:

  • Hot Dog Eating
  • Kite Flying
  • Tricycle Racing
  • Painting
  • Car Washing

You must first sketch the logos, then create them digitally.
For the assignment, you must turn in two files:

  1. A scan of your original sketches
  2. A image with the 5 logos.
