Chapter 13 Study Guide
This is to help you study for your quiz over Chapter 13.

- A report presents data from a database in an organized manner with a descriptive title, headings and summaries.
- The report wizard is a easy and fast way to create a report
- Data Grouping organizes data by a selected filed and indents the data in the report, which makes the report easier to understand.
- A report summary provides statistics on a number field, such as an average or minimum value.
- A report can be modified in design view to change the layout, colors and add graphics.
- A report can be distributed in two ways: as an HTML document, or a report snapshot (which will have an extension of .snp)
- A calculated field displays the result of a mathematical expression and is defined in a select query. Examples of a calculated field would be Profit (Price-Cost).
- Information in Access can be exported to Excel, and data in Excel can easily be imported into Access.
- Access, like most Office Applications, offers linked data, which means data will be automatically updated when linked in another Office application.
